Kieran Tierney labelled 'best Scottish left back' in EPL ahead of Andy Robertson

£25million signing Kieran Tierney has been dubbed the "best Scottish left back in the league" by Arsenal fans.

Gooners have been quick to hail the former Celtic star who is poised to make his league debut against Sheffield United on Monday night.

And they reckon the 22-year-old has already eclipsed countryman Andy Robertson , who starred in Liverpool’s clash with Manchester United on Sunday in a game that ended 1-1.

Tierney enjoyed a brilliant bow for Arsenal in their Carabao Cup win over Nottingham Forest in September. He then had another fine performance in the demolition of Standard Liege in the Europa League.

Now he is expected to play in the English Premier League for the first time – and Arsenal fans can’t wait.

After the Emirates club tweeted a picture of Tierney with the caption "The Bhoy, KT", supporters hailed their summer signing.

One replied: "Better than Andy Robertson!" Another wrote: "Tierney > Robertson."

A third poster said: "Robertson hasn't been the same since Tierney moved to England."

A fourth supporter added: "Tierney not even played and he’s already sending Robertson to retirement."

Another replied: "Start him or consequences."
