Kieran Tierney issues Celtic rallying cry as former Hoops star posts stirring message

Former Celtic star Kieran Tierney has fired a battle cry to his old team-mates and told them to 'get intae' Rangers.

The left back quit Celtic in the summer for a £25million move to Arsenal but still has his old club at heart.

And he shared an image from a previous encounter with ex-Rangers star Daniel Candeias where he left the Portuguese winger writhing in agony.

It was a crunching tackle from Tierney during the clash at Ibrox and is an image often shared by Hoops supporters.

And Tierney used it to issue a rallying call to his old team-mates with the caption: "Get intae them @celticfc".

Tierney was on the losing side to Rangers just once, in the Scottish Cup semi-final defeat in 2016.

Since then, he regularly played in sides that battered their Ibrox rivals.

The 22-year-old has had more than his fair share of injury problems since leaving Celtic Park in the summer.

Tierney was recovering from surgery on a hernia when he signed, and subsequently suffered a dislocated shoulder after half an hour of a Premier League match with West Ham United.

He had surgery but will miss Scotland's Euro 2020 playoff game against Israel in March.

Arsenal said: "Kieran has had successful surgery and will now rehabilitate for around three months, aiming to return to full training in March."
