Kieran Tierney is worth £40m and Arsenal have to get real with bid insists Danny Mills

Celtic could be selling themselves short over Kieran Tierney who is worth at least £35million in the current market.

That’s the opinion of former England and Manchester City full-back Danny Mills.

Celtic have rejected two lowball bids from Arsenal for Scotland international Tierney and are holding out for £25million - a price that boss Neil Lennon admitted last night was a bargain.

Lennon pointed to the £50million Manchester United shelled out on the less-experienced Aaron Wan Bissaka as an example of Tierney’s worth.

And Mills agrees, claiming Arsenal need to get real with their bid for the 22-year-old.

He told Alan Brazil on talkSPORT: "Realistically £35-40m for Tierney would be about the ball park.

"When you go in ridiculously low - if you want a player but go in low it doesn’t say you really want this player.

"Wan Bissaka was ridiculously over-priced. I’d say £35m-£40m for Tierney would be fair."
