Kieran Tierney injury latest as Celtic boss Neil Lennon reveals full back could require surgery

Kieran Tierney is to see a specialist in his bid to be fit for next month's Scottish Cup Final.

The left-back is missing from the Celtic squad for today's Premiership clash with Hibs at Easter Road.

Tierney is struggling with a pelvic injury and, although he played against Rangers on March 31 he hobbled off in the closing stages to leave Celtic playing with 10 men.

Hoops boss Neil Lennon provided an update on the 21-year-old ahead of this afternoon's match which could see his side take another step towards 8-in-a-row.

Lennon said: "He is a bit sore, he is going to see a specialist this week to get a clear indication of where he is.

"He may require surgery but we are trying to hold that off until the end of the season."
