Kieran Tierney in Celtic throwback as star savours 'dream come true' anniversary

A nostalgic Kieran Tierney has marked six years since his 'dream come true' moment.

On April 22, 2015, the left-back was handed his Celtic debut by Ronny Deila in a Premiership clash with St Johnstone.

It's no understatement to say Tierney's career has rocketed since that pivotal evening at McDiarmid Park.

He won eight major honours at his boyhood club before sealing a £25million move to the Premier League with Arsenal.

The 23-year-old is considered one of the best full-backs in England's star-studded top-flight and remains a key man for Steve Clarke and the Scotland national team.

Tierney is currently sidelined with a knee injury but took time out from his recovery to mark the anniversary of his maiden Celtic appearance.

He shared a picture of himself in senior action for the club for the first time with the caption: "Celtic debut, dream come true"

Despite his injury, Tierney is expected to return in time for Euro 2020.

There were fears the problem could force him to miss this summer's competition, set to begin for Scotland on June 14, but Arsenal now expect he will return to action in less than a month's time.
