Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta says the next few days will determine whether Muirhouse's Kieran Tierney participates for Scotland this month.
National team head coach Steve Clarke named his squad to contest November's crucial World Cup 2022 qualifiers against Moldova and Denmark, with Tierney included.
The left-back missed Arsenal's win over Leicester City last weekend due to an ankle problem but Clarke is hopeful Tierney will play against Watford this Sunday.
Gunners boss Arteta has confirmed that the feeling is mutual on the former Celtic star's availability, but it's too early to tell if he can play for Scotland.
A win against Moldova would secure a World Cup play-off spot next year.
Arteta told The Athletic : “Kieran has been training the last two days, he’s been much better so hopefully he will be available.
“Let’s see (if he's available for Scotland) in the next few training sessions.
"He’s done bits with the team but not fully trained yet, so in the next two days we’ll see where he is and how he’s feeling.”
