Kieran Tierney 'fit and available' as former Celtic star ready to line up against England

Steve Clarke has revealed Kieran Tierney is ready to face England.

Scotland line up against the Auld Enemy at Wembley on Friday night in a bid to steer their Euro 2020 campaign back on track.

Former Celtic star Tierney was sidelined with a calf issue for Monday's bitterly disappointing 2-0 defeat to the Czech Republic.

The Arsenal left-back resumed training this week but there were mixed reports over whether he had travelled to London with his team-mates.

Pictures later confirmed Tierney was on the Scotland boss and now his manager says he's in line to start against the Three Lions in just over 24 hours' time.

Clarke has declared the 23-year-old "fit and available" for the do-or-die showdown across the border.

Scotland missed Tierney's attacking thrust against the Czechs with Leeds United captain Liam Cooper stepping in to cover his absence.

Ostensibly a full-back, Tierney has been deployed on the left of a back three with license to step forward and link with Andy Robertson on the flank.

Clarke's Scotland system has been heavily reliant on his presence and his return will be a hugely welcome boost for the national team boss.
