Arsenal stand-out Kieran Tierney has been dubbed the "consummate professional" by pundit Troy Deeney.
The Gunners left-back bagged a special solo effort to put hi side ahead in the Premier League clash against the West Brom on Saturday night and has been a top performer for Mikel Arteta's side this season.
With Arsenal struggling this season and with the likes of Mezut Ozil frozen out of the first-team picture, Watford striker Deeney heaped praise on the attitude of the former Celtic left-back.
The TalkSport host says that players in-the-know have talked up the 23-year-old's behind the scenes quality at Arsenal.
He said on air: "It's going to sound disrespectful but it's not, he's like James Milner.
"He's the best trainer, the best professional, and to other people outside of it they'll be like Milner isn't the fancy name, but in the game Milner's respect level in through the roof.
"He's the consummate professional and that's the guy you want to be, and I've heard he's exactly the same.
"You look at Ozil, and from a players perspective he's immensely talented but he's not playing, then you look at someone like Tierney who is massively buzzing to be at a club like that, buzzing for the lifestyle and opportunity and is working day in and day out."
Deeney also waded into the Scotland debate of who is better - Andy Robertson or Tierney.
He added: "The thing with him and Robertson is that I think he [Tierney] is a much more natural defender, but you're talking about probably the two best left-back's in the league."
