Defiant Kieran Tierney insists he wouldn't have missed Scotland's Wembley showdown "for the world".
The nation held its breath ahead of Friday's clash with England as the Arsenal defender's fitness remained a concern until the moment Steve Clarke named his team.
Troubled by a calf injury, Tierney was a huge miss as the Scots slumped to defeat against the Czech Republic in their opening Euro 2020 fixture.
But he returned to the heart of defence to help Clarke's team secure a potentially priceless point in London.
And the former Celtic star declared he was always going to have a go, regardless of how he felt.
He told BBC Match of the Day : "I said I was always going to try it. Whether it was right or not, I was always going to try it.

"It probably wasn't ideal going into a game like that having only trained once or twice in the last 10 days.
"But I gave everything. I wouldn't have missed it for the world, man."
Scotland produced an accomplished display at the home of the Auld Enemy and were unfortunate not to take more from their trip down south.
Tierney admits it was a special moment being greeted by the travelling Tartan Army at full-time and now wants to ensure fans can keep dreaming by beating Croatia on Tuesday.
The Scots face a do or die Group D showdown with the 2018 World Cup finalists and require victory to stand any chance of reaching the knockout stage.
"I loved it. Well, I loved it at the end going to the fans," Tierney said of the Wembley stalemate.
"It was a good moment but they're a dangerous team, they can always score and it doesn't matter how the first half has gone, or the first 70, 80 minutes.
"Then there was the scramble in the box in the last minute and I think everyone's heart was in their mouth.
"We've had two games now in the tournament so we should be ready to go, ready for a tough test because Croatia are a massive team with great players.
"Just being here itself is history but we never wanted to settle for that.
"We always wanted to do well, always wanted to progress through the group and with one game to go we've got the chance to do that
"It was about staying in the tournament and giving ourselves a chance going into the last game.
"That was the most important thing and we managed to do that."
