Kieran Tierney dealt major Scotland injury blow as former Celtic star return timeline revealed

Crocked Kieran Tierney faces a nervous run up to Euro 2020 as he looks set to miss up to six weeks of action.

The Scotland cap was injured during Arsenal's 3-0 defeat to Liverpool following a first-half collision with James Milner.

The Gunners have revealed that the former Celtic defender sustained ligament damage to his left knee having hobbled off.

The Premier League side confirmed he will not be required to have surgery and "it’s hoped that Kieran will be back in full training within four to six weeks."

Steve Clarke will be looking on anxiously as he prepares to name is squad for the major finals.

Tierney produced some outstanding displays in the three recent World Cup qualifiers including chipping in with three assists during the 4-0 win over the Faroe Islands.

The tournament will kick-off in June, but Tierney will be hopeful of returned before the end of the Premier League campaign on May 23.
