Neil Lennon has confirmed Scott Sinclair is to stay at Celtic for another year.
The club had an option on the winger and they have now triggered the 12-month clause.
It has been reported Celtic will pay the 30-year-old a staggering £1.7million, making him the club’s highest-paid player.
At his weekly press conference, Lennon said: "Yes, so Scott will be here for another year. He has been a good player since he walked in the door.
"He has made a big contribution in the goals column and that football intelligence and experience is always important to have around. It's a big boost for the squad."
Sinclair has netted 17 times this season as Lennon’s side home in on the treble Treble. Middlesbrough were said to be weighing up a £2million transfer for the former Aston Villa attacker, who joined Celtic in 2016.
The manager has also provided an update on Kieran Tierney, who has been struggling with a hip injury for much of the season.
The 21-year-old full-back last played on April 14 in the 3-0 win over Aberdeen.

But Lennon has revealed he has returned to training, although he will need a double hernia operation at the end of the season.
He said: "Kieran is back in training and is in contention to start. We're just managing him through it right now."
Celtic will be confirmed as champions on Saturday if they take a point from their clash with Aberdeen.
Kick-off is at 12.30pm at Pittodrie.
