Kieran Tierney boost confirmed and quartet involved in Arsenal training ahead of Newcastle

Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney is back in full training.

The left-back, who has been in excellent form during the Gunners' recent revival, missed the goalless draw against Crystal Palace last Thursday night with a calf problem.

As a result, Tierney was considered a doubt for Monday night's Premier League clash at home to Newcastle United.

And Arsenal 's struggles without the Scotland international was laid bare by former defender Alex Scott whilst she was on Sky Sports punditry duty for the Palace clash.

"We talk about Tierney, how important he is, what he brings to the team, his runs going forward, his runs on the ball and actually making others play around him," Scott said on Sky Sports.

"That was totally missed.

"Maitland-Niles was totally off the pace today, you could see that the confidence wasn’t there, but Tierney was missed today."

With that said, the Mikel Arteta could be able to call upon one of his in-form players for the second visit of the Magpies to the Emirates Stadium in less than a week.

The good news for the Gunners boss, as seen in the images below, Tierney has resumed full training ahead of the Monday night game under the lights in N5.

Furthermore, some Arsenal fans' pre-match concerns have been eased.

Supporters spotted a few notable absentees from Saturday's training session at London Colney which included Emile Smith Rowe as well as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - the two scorers in the cup win over the Magpies last weekend.

A few of the comments on the 'Behind The Scenes' training video uploaded to YouTube highlighted the absences of the aforementioned duo as well as the likes of Bukayo Saka and Alexandre Lacazette.

However, they were all spotted in Sunday's session.

The one absentee was centre-back Pablo Mari and Arteta has already revealed that he expects to be without the Spaniard for a "few matches'.
