Kieran Tierney has been backed to surpass Liverpool's Andy Robertson.
The Arsenal full-back put in a tremendous performance against Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final at the weekend, helping his side to a 2-0 victory.
Robertson has been the standout full-back in the Premier League over the past 12 months but former Burnley boss Owen Coyle says Tierney is every bit as good as his fellow Scot.
Speaking to Five Live's Football Daily, Coyle says that Tierney will prove to be an outstanding player for the Gunners.
He said: "They looked secure at the back, they looked solid and a cohesive unit.
"Tierney has been getting better every game.
"I've told people for many years that there's Andy Robertson, who I love, at Liverpool but Tierney's bit as good and possibly could be even better.
"When you think of the quality of Robertson, that tells you how good Tierney could be.
"He's going to be a tremendous addition to Arsenal going forward."
Coyle believes that an FA cup victory would also give Arteta more power to make demands of the Gunners in the transfer market.
He said: "It's a competition Arsenal have always loved.
"They've had huge success within the FA Cup and, from Chelsea's performance against Manchester United, Arsenal will have to play very well.
"If they do, they're capable of winning a trophy, and that would be great for Arteta as well.
"Coming into the job, giving him that extra belief.
"Also I think, if they were able to do it, it would give him a bit more power to demand the signings that the Arsenal fans have been craving for many years.
"That's a huge part of football now.
"Recruitment is crucial - Arsenal have spent money over the years, I'm just not convinced they've spent it in the right types they need to take the club forward."
