Kieran Tierney Arsenal transfer troll as Subway get involved in signing saga of the summer

Transfer season specialises in providing the unexpected but now and then something can still catch you by surprise.

Lovers of the beautiful game know signing developments can come from across the globe but few would expect sandwich specialists Subway to get in on the act.

Celtic -supporting Twitter user Kevin Jack certainly wasn't expecting to be wrapped up in the Kieran Tierney transfer saga when he had a pop at the retail giants over changes they've made to their hot chilli sauce.

Subway and their likely Arsenal -centric social media manager didn't miss the chance to have a playful pop in response as they jumped out the oven to provide a hot and spicy response to one Hoops fan.

They said: "We cannot believe Kieran Tierney is going away but that's sometimes how things go.

"Changes happen and with the time you will see it's not a bad choice."

Both Celtic and Arsenal supporters have been waiting patiently for a resolution with the Hoops holding out for £25million for their prized elft-back.

And fans of both clubs were left in shock over Subway's well-fired response.

Arsenal4ev a wrote: "Subway is a Gooner."

AFC different knock added: "Greatest fast food chain. I have always said this.

But DavidSla wanted to focus on the chilli sauce element, he bristled: 'I don't eat Subway but he has a point actually.

"Changing things/at least not offering both options can lose you customers.

"And there's no need to bring a disorder into this."
