Kieran Tierney and the £75m Chelsea transfer that could lead to Brendan Rodgers reunion

Arsenal star Kieran Tierney is at the top of Leicester's transfer wishlist if star left-back Ben Chilwell joins Chelsea this summer -according to a report.

The Daily Mail claim former Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers will turn to his former Parkhead pupil if a deal to take the 23-year-old to West London is rubberstamped.

Chilwell is Blues boss Frank Lampard's No.1 signing target after completing a £53m move for highly-rated Germany international Timo Wener.

It's understood the Stamford Bridge side will have to stump up the cash with Leicester reportedly holding out for an eye-watering £75m for their prized asset.

And any departure could directly impact Tierney who is desperate to kick on the Emirates after an injury-ravaged start to life with Arsenal.

But several reports have stated boss Mikel Arteta may have to move players on to boost his own signing budget as teams adapt amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Spaniard is a fan of Tierney and hailed his incredible work ethic but Arsenal have been pleasantly surprised with Bukayo Saka's development in Tierney's role while the Scotland international was on the sidelines.

Rodgers remains a huge admirer of one of his main men from his time in Glasgow but the report states Southampton's Ryan Bertrand has also been 'earmarked'

The revelation comes after the Transfer Window Podcast first revealed Tierney was a serious candidate to replace the England international if he departed the King Power Stadium.
