Kieran Tierney and Andy Robertson roasted by Bologna as Aaron Hickey enjoys Serie A debut to remember

Bologna took a cheeky swipe at Andy Robertson and Kieran Tierney as Aaron Hickey enjoyed a Serie A debut to remember.

The former Hearts star was handed a huge chance to impress and has duly delivered as his side smashed Parma at home.

There were mixed individual fortunes over on Merseyside for Liverpool's Robertson.

The Scotland captain's howler gifted Arsenal an opener in their Premier League blockbuster.

But he recovered to calmly dink home Liverpool's second as the champions recovered to take a 2-1 lead.

Tierney was left for dead by Mo Salah for the equaliser as he faced up to a serious examination one on one with the Egyptian superstar.

And while the two Scotland internationals traded blows at Anfield, Hickey was in dreamland on the continent.

He went on to play 80 minutes in a 4-1 win and it left time for Bologna to aim a dig at the youngster's countrymen with a cheeky post on Twitter.

Referencing the action in England, they wrote: "Imagine having a Scottish left back and conceding in the first half".
