Kieran Tierney admits to Arsenal team-mate he feels under pressure

Kieran Tierney believes he is under pressure to succeed at Arsenal after missing the Gunners' opening fixtures through injury.

That's according to centre-back Rob Holding, who feels both he and Hector Bellerin are under the same pressure to hit the ground running.

Arsenal have struggled defensively this season with the three aforementioned players - all first team starters in Unai Emery's Gunners team - in the medical room.

Fans have been counting down the days to the trio returning to fitness, and now that this is just around the corner, pressure on them immediately improving Arsenal's defence has been ramped up - and the players are feeling it.

"I was speaking with Kieran – we were saying there is actually a bit of pressure on me, Hector and him," explained Holding.

"Obviously the fans have been putting a lot of pressure on saying: 'We need those three back, hopefully they can perform'.

"So we had a bit of pressure going into [the Forest game] and the way we performed and dealt with it was great.

"It is a healthy pressure. It not a sort of draining pressure if you know what I mean. It is a nice pressure and it is the competition. It is pushing everyone to be better."

Arsenal travelled to Manchester on Monday ahead of their Premier League clash with the Red Devils at Old Trafford.

It is not yet known whether Holding or Bellerin will play, but Tierney wasn't photographed arriving at the team hotel, suggesting he hasn't travelled.
