Kieran Lee's first words as former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder signs for Bolton Wanderers

Bolton Wanderers have completed their second signing of the January transfer window after confirmation of Kieran Lee penning an 18-month deal with the club.

The former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder joins Declan John as Bolton's second signing of the week and of the window as Ian Evatt strengthens in two key positions.

Lee has been without a club and has been training at Wanderers ' training base in recent weeks, with Evatt clearly impressed with what he has seen having cast an eye over him before making the decision to sign him.

The 32-year-old, along with fellow new signing John, could be involved in Bolton's next league fixture at Exeter City on Tuesday night.

“I’ve been training with the club for a few weeks and I’m delighted to have now signed," the new signing told the club website after signing.

“You've only got to look around the place to see that the potential to go back up is massive. This is a club that wants to be at a higher level. I'm coming here to help the team get promotion and go as high as we can.”

Manager Evatt was equally delighted after securing a second signing in a week

“I am delighted to sign Kieran who I feel is a real coup for the club and a statement signing," he said.

“He is a very classy and experienced footballer and is just the right character we want at Bolton Wanderers Football Club.

“I’d like to thank the Board for their support in getting this deal completed.”
