Kieran Gibbons rejoins East Kilbride after Stenhousemuir spell

Kieran Gibbons has sealed his return to East Kilbride following a spell in League Two with Stenhousemuir.

The 24-year-old left Kilby in 2018 to pursue SPFL football with the Warriors, but after making over 30 appearances last season Gibbons has fallen out of favour at Ochilview under Colin McMenamin.

Kilby boss Stuart Malcolm has now swooped to bring the influential midfielder back to K-Park as the defending Lowland League champions bid to get their title defence back on track after a stick start to the season.

It's understood EK's Lowland League rivals East Stirlingshire had also shown an interest in the player before he decided on a return to his old stomping ground.

Gibbons is the third signing for EK in as many weeks, following the arrivals of centre-backs George Stanger and Sam Fisher on loan from Hamilton Accies and Dundee, respectively.

He could make his debut in Saturday's league clash at home to Berwick.
