Everton midfielder Kieran Dowell is set to seal another season-long loan move away from Goodison Park this summer.
The 21-year-old spent the second half of last term with Sheffield United and helped them earn promotion back to the Premier League, a year after spending a season with Nottingham Forest on a temporary basis.
And now another spell away from Goodison Park seems to be edging nearer.
The ECHO understands a switch to Derby County is moving close after the Championship side expressed an interest - but they are one of numerous clubs to have got in contact with the Blues over the midfielder.
The youngster has struggled to consistently break into first-team plans at Everton after being an integral member of David Unsworth's Premier League 2 title winning side of 2016/17.
Dowell was restricted to just two appearances in the League Cup under Marco Silva across the first half of 2018/19 after having been given opportunities with the senior side during pre-season.
Meanwhile, Joao Virginia is still expected to complete a loan move to Reading this week.
