Norwich ace Kieran Dowell admits their stars have unfinished business in the Premier League and want to prove they belong at the top.
The Norfolk club were relegated last season in 20th place with just 21 points and a minus 49 goal difference.
It was a demoralising season for Daniel Farke's side who had previously won the Championship.
But young English starlets like Todd Cantwell,23, and Max Aarons,21, showed their potential to generate interest from Premier League clubs.
While Argentine play-maker Emiliano Buendia,24, who has 10 goals and 12 assists this term, is on Arsenal's radar.
Now Dowell,23, a close season signing from Wigan, admits City's aces are desperate to prove they are top-flight hits as the league leaders close on promotion.
Asked if City's stars had unfinished business in the top-flight, Dowell replied: “Definitely yes.

“Since the start of the season that has been the aim to get back in the Premier League.
“We have Premier League quality players in this team.
“As you have seen with some of the interest in the players in the summer that proves it.
“That is definitely the goal to get back into the Premier League and show we are Premier League players.”
The table-toppers reeled off their ninth straight win away at Nottingham Forest in midweek.
Dowell notched his first League goal for City in the victory after injury problems.

In 1986 Norwich reeled off 10 straight League wins en-route to promotion.
Now they can equal the feat on Saturday when Blackburn visit Carrow Road.
Dowell added: “When you have won nine games in a row it feels really good for the confidence and momentum and mood in the camp.
“But we are not really thinking about records.”
