Kieffer Moore is confident he has the right players around him at Cardiff City to help him return a sizeable goal tally this season.
The Wales striker opened his account on Saturday with an impressive brace in the 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
His excellent double has stirred excitement among City fans, who hope they have found a bona fide goalscorer to fire them up the table this term and mount a bid for promotion to the Premier League.
And confidence will certainly not be a problem for Moore, who was in a bullish mood after his exploits in front of goal sank Forest to earn Cardiff their first points of the Championship campaign.
The striker believes that, with the calibre of players at Cardiff, he has everything he needs to be able to find the back of the net with regularity this year.
“Confidence is everything in this game," the Wales international told Sky Sports after the match.
"I know I can score goals, especially in this team as they’ll keep making chances for me.
“I’m going to keep going, get my head down, and get as many goals as I can."
That will no doubt be music to City fans' ears.
They have been so desperate to see a striker don the Bluebirds shirt and grab a bucket-load of goals just as the likes of Michael Chopra and Jay Bothroyd did a decade ago.
There is a real hope that Moore can be that forward this term and that extra ingredient to push Cardiff from play-off hopefuls to top-two contenders.
“The lads did brilliant to get to the play-offs last season, and we want to do even better this season,” he added.
