Kids turn into their favourite characters for World Book Day

Children across Scotland took park in World Book Day 2020 - and Scots parents have once again pulled out all the stops to create some amazing costumes.

From tiny Harry Potters , to whimsical Where's Wallys and pint-sized Pinnochios, kids from across the country have dressed up as their favourite literary characters to celebrate the day.

And whether bought from a shop or sewn, stuck and stitched with their own fair hands, parents have proven no task was too big for their little ones.

This year's theme is 'Share a Million Stories' which aims to get more children reading books than ever before.

The website for World Book Day 2020 also has some amazing assembly plans for teachers, sneak peeks at upcoming children's releases, book token competitions and more.

Parents have been sending us pictures of their adorable children in fantastic costumes so check out our gallery for some of the best.
