Kids' products sold on Etsy and Wish urgently recalled due to safety fears

A number of products designed for children which were sold on online retailers Etsy and Wish have been recalled in Ireland due to safety fears.

Ireland's consumer watchdog, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), confirmed the recall of three products sold on Etsy and two sold on Wish.

The risk associated with all five products is that of choking due to small parts that come with the items.

A CCPC spokesperson explained: "If you purchased one of these products, please discontinue use immediately, discard the product immediately and keep it out of the reach of children. You may wish to contact Etsy to see if there are any remedies available to you. This can be done via your user account on the Etsy platform."

Meanwhile, Wish is recalling the Toddler and Baby Musical Learning Toy, and the Light Up LED Teddy Bear, again due to choking fears.

"The Toddler and Baby Musical Learning Toy presents a choking risk due to the presence of small parts within this product. There was approximately 1 affected product in the Republic of Ireland," the CCPC spokesperson continued.
