Kids have cracking time celebrating Easter at Shambellie House

Kids had a cracking time celebrating Easter at Shambellie House on Saturday.

The Shambellie House Trust had organised a fun afternoon of activities, including crafts and baking, to coincide with an open day.

There was also a treasure hunt organised by some of the older children, which encouraged the youngsters to explore the history of the historic property – formerly Scotland’s National Museum of Costume.

The trust’s Ann Hill BEM said: “It was good to see people back in the house and locals popped in too to see the house.

“We gave away 46 Easter eggs – we talked to them about the Easter story, but not in a sit down way.

“We gave them an Easter egg then asked if they knew why they were getting an Easter egg.”

The afternoon was also a chance for the trust to promote other activities and workshops they have planned.
