Kids get unlimited rides for a fiver at Barton City Airport beach funfair this summer

A beach and funfair is back at Barton's City Airport this summer.

Families were raving about the attraction when it came to the Eccles venue last year - offering unlimited fairground rides for three hours for just a fiver.

Adults go free, parking is also free and you can take a picnic along if you wish so there's no need to spend any extra.

Plus you can see the planes and helicopters taking off and landing while you're there.

Now the Barton Beach Funfair is back until September 1.

Although billed as suitable for under 12s, parents told us it was more appropriate for little ones, with a large outdoor sandpit, funfair rides such as teacups and swings, bouncy castles and slides.

Wristbands can be bought for one of three daily sessions - 11am to 2pm, 1pm to 4pm, or 3pm to 6pm. Adults go free.

If you do have a bit of spare cash then donkey rides cost £3 each and there's the Runway 26 café and bar if you want to buy food and drinks on the site.

The children’s play area and Control Tower viewing balcony are all open as normal.

Availability of rides and the beach may be affected by some weather conditions.
