Kids feel 'woozy' after tot brings tequila to school and shares it around

Parents of pupils at a primary school are in uproar after one child brought in a bottle of tequila and shared it with their friends -thinking it was juice.

Local news reports say the child, aged between three and six-years-old, brought in a bottle of ready-to-drink Jose Cuervo margarita.

Multiple students at the Grand River Academy in Michigan, US, reported feeling 'dizzy' and 'woozy' after drinking the alcoholic drink, served in disposable paper cups.

Alexis Smith spoke to Fox 10 and said that her child had taken four of five sips of the drink and was feeling unwell, and now parents have been left baffled about how this incident occurred.

Staff from the school have issued an apology (fox10phoenix.com)

Another parent, Dominique Zanders said that her daughter had tried the drink. She said: "She felt woozy, a little dizzy.

"The girl poured it in her cup and she drank it and the girl ended up telling her what it is, and she went and told the teacher there is liquor in this cup, and the teacher gave her a funny face.

"I had a small conversation with my daughter - nothing big - and she told me the girl knew it was liquor."

The parents said they are angry about the incident but not at the child, instead, they have questions for the staff at the school.

Officials at Grand River Academy have since released a statement, that reads: "While we try to keep an eye on everything our students bring to school, that’s simply not possible.

"It’s unfortunate that these types of adult beverages can be easily mistaken for child-friendly drinks."

Her husband thought it would be good to get one with a wave, so he asked Kaylie to lay down near the water's edge - but soon things went awry.

The next wave to come along went much higher than the rest and it broke over Kaylie, leaving her completely drenched.
