Kids can watch Honey I Shrunk, the Kids and become scientists for the day at this Leith event

If you are looking for something to do with the kids during the summer holidays, look no further.

The Leith Theatre is holding a fun-filled event for all the family, where kids can become scientists for the day.

This Wednesday (24 July) Cinetopia Edinburgh will put on a special daytime screening of the 80s sci-fi comic film Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.

The little ones can watch on in amazement as inventor and father Wayne Szalinski accidentally shrinks his children.

But that's not all. After the screening, kids can take part in some "inventive" activities for budding young scientists and try their own experiments.

The showing starts at 1pm for the film, which is rated PG. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Children under two go free but will not be catered for in the activity. You can buy tickets from eventbrite here for £10.30.
