Kids can get a personal message from Santa by asking Amazon's Alexa this question

Families can hear a special message from Santa this Christmas to get them into the festive spirit.

Amazon’s Alexa is helping Santa leave special messages for children this festive season, and it couldn't be easier to get one for your little ones.

Anyone who owns an Alexa can simply ask the voice-controlled device one question to get a response from Santa, reports the Mirror .

You just have to ask how many days there are until Christmas .

Alexa will give you the answer before asking if you’d like to hear an update from Santa and playing a message which is bound to get everybody excited for Christmas .

In the message, Santa promised to keep kids up to date with the latest festive news and reveals how he is getting ready for his busiest day of the year.

He tells listeners: “Ho ho ho, I’m so looking forward to Christmas.

“I will be starting my daily Christmas update very soon, so make sure you come back if you love Christmas.

“Come back tomorrow for another Christmas update."

Other Alexa users have reported hearing Santa say he was busy making mince pies with Mrs Claus at their home in the North Pole.

The Alexa feature was first shared by one mum on a bargains Facebook page, who said: “Something fun for the kids to get excited about.”

Alexa also has features which allow families to ask for Christmas film recommendations , ask Santa’s favourite jokes, have him recite The Night Before Christmas and more using the Santa feature by HUGO.FM .
