Kidderminster Harriers boss sends warning to West Ham and David Moyes ahead of FA Cup clash

Kidderminster Harriers are primed for the visit of West Ham and believe they have what it takes to cause a giant-killing in Saturday's FA Cup fourth-round tie.

Russ Penn's team go into the clash with the Hammers in fine form having lost just one game in eight matches so far in 2022 and recorded a fine 3-0 win over Leamington on Tuesday night.

Kidderminster have played seven FA Cup games to reach the third round dating back to September, one match less than West Ham would have to play to win the tournament, and Penn's team truly believe they can continue their fine run having seen off Championship outfit Reading in the previous round.

"We have to believe that history can be made one day and let's hope it could be Saturday. We have given ourselves the opportunity to do that," Penn said ahead of the clash.

The Harriers manager added a note of caution but used his press conference as a chance to take the pressure off his team.

"Don't get me wrong we could get absolutely spanked and we will move on next week," he said. "On the other hand, we are an empty book to be scripted, so let's hope we can do that."

West Ham will be wary of being the subject of one of the biggest giant killings in recent history against a team who are used to winning and are flying high in the National League North.

"We are going to give it our best shot, but we have got to have a game plan," Penn added.

"We can't be too naive about things. We've got to respect the opposition, we're playing against elite players here, let's put it one way, the best of the best, but we have to believe we can produce something, otherwise what is the point in playing? We may as well just roll over and let them win the game, so I can't wait."
