Kickstart a career with Amazon this International Women’s Day

Today (March 8) is International Women’s Day, a celebration of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women around the world that also calls for acceleration to gender equality.

In the spirit of the day, Amazon has launched a campaign to find imaginative, knowledgeable and passionate female interns for its Women’s Network in Operations (WIN-In-Ops) program.

Offered as a complementary program on top of Amazon’s regular internship course of three to six months, successful applicants to the Women’s Network in Operations scheme will be given an additional eight weeks of support.

Key aspects of the Women’s Network in Operations program include leadership training, coaching from female talent across Amazon, the opportunity to grow your professional network and exposure to real-world business challenges.

The aim of the program is to provide development opportunities in operations – an area where women are traditionally underrepresented.

“We want to empower you with this program to kickstart your career and support your professional growth,” says the description on Amazon’s career site.

With locations across the country and start dates available throughout the rest of 2020, this is an incredible opportunity for female undergraduates, post-graduates, MBA students and PhDs to gain invaluable professional experience.
