'Kicking us while we're down' Glasgow pub bosses slam second break-in since start of lockdown

A Glasgow pub has slammed vandals for trashing their business for the second time since the start of lockdown.

A window of the Tabac bar on Mitchell Lane in the city centre was smashed despite signs warning there was no cash inside.

Angry bosses at the pub hit out at the thugs for 'kicking them while they are down' due to the coronavirus crisis.

Police have launched a probe (Facebook)

A post on Facebook read: "Second break in since start of lockdown.

"Talk about kicking a business while they are down.

"We have put signs to let people know that all cash and stock have been removed from the premises yet they still break in(and leave with nothing). We on the other hand get left with a broken window and huge bill to pay while generating 0 money."

Speaking to Glasgow Live, a boss talked of the first break-in.

They said: ""Last time the climbed the front door fence and broke the door and another door inside.

"The doors have all been boarded up so they went for the window this time."

A Police Scotland spokesman told Glasgow Live : "Around 10am on Sunday, 7 June, 2020, police were made aware of damage to a window at a business premises in Mitchell Lane, Glasgow.

"Enquiries are ongoing to trace those involved."
