Kicking battle heats up at Browns camp between Joseph and Seibert

One of the most hotly contested position battles in Browns training camp is at placekicker. Holdover Greg Joseph and fifth-round rookie Austin Seibert are dueling for the job, one which has been a problem spot in Cleveland for longer than it should be.

On Friday, the kickers got a chance to show what they could do in practice. Each got four attempts on the same field goals of varying distances.

Joseph nailed all four of his kicks. Seibert made three of the four, yanking the 41-yard shot wide right. He also hit the upright with his 48-yarder but it banked in successfully.

Per Nate Ulrich of Ohio.com, Browns GM John Dorsey paid rapt attention to Friday’s audition.
