Going into halftime it looked like the Pittsburgh Steelers were sunk. Despite being tied with the Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh lost kicker Chris Boswell just before the half and the odds were long they could hold off the Browns with no kicking game.
But thanks to an inspired effort by the Steelers defense and some big plays by the offense, Pittsburgh found a way to hold off the Browns and extend its record to 4-3 with a 15-10 win.
The offense was powered by rookies Najee Harris and Pat Freiermuth. Freiermuth was a huge target for quarterback Ben Roethlisberger hauling in four passes for 44 yards and a tremendous receiving touchdown. Harris continued to show why he was the first running back drafted in 2021 with 91 rushing yards, 29 receiving yards and another rushing score.
Pittsburgh’s defense was dominant shutting down the top rushing offense in the NFL Pittsburgh sacks Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield four times and forced a key fumble late in the game.
The win extends the Steelers current win streak to three games.
