Kick-off time changes announced as Nottingham Forest gear up for final five

Nottingham Forest have confirmed a couple of kick-off times have changed for two of their final three home matches of the Championship season.

The Reds face Huddersfield Town this Saturday and the match has been brought forward to 12.30pm, in line with all EFL fixtures being rearranged so to avoid a clash with the funeral of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

Their final day match, against Preston North End at the City Ground, has also been brought forward from 3pm, with the earlier kick-off time of 12.30pm designed to end the season in line with all other games that day.

Chris Hughton’s men have five games left to see how high they can finish in the division having all but mathematically secured the club’s safety this season.

Eight points from their last four games has lifted Forest to the comfort of 15th place in the table on 49 points.

And with 15 points still to play for, Hughton will be keen to continue his side’s momentum with a solid run of form to take into the summer and then build on next season in his first full campaign in charge at the City Ground.

Although the Reds have been unable to string more than two consecutive wins together all season, Hughton has certainly steadied the ship since his arrival in October.

The club can also confirm that the fixture schedule for the 2021-22 season will be released on Thursday 24th June at 9am.
