Kick-off delayed for Nottingham Forest's clash with Millwall at The Den

Nottingham Forest’s clash with Millwall at The Den has been delayed, due to “a medical emergency”.

The Reds are in action in the capital for their first Championship game of 2022. The match will now kick-off at 3.10pm.

Millwall tweeted from their official account: “Kick-off has been delayed at The Den until 3.10pm due to a medical emergency. #Millwall"

Forest go into the game buoyed by Sunday’s impressive victory over Arsenal at the City Ground.

Lewis Grabban’s late goal saw Cooper’s men dump their Premier League opponents out of the FA Cup, 1-0, to set up a fourth round tie against Leicester City.

Attention turns back to the Championship today, though, with the Reds having lost their previous two league games - away to Middlesbrough and at home to Huddersfield Town, at the back end of last year.

Ahead of kick-off in the capital they are ninth in the table, just six points below the play-off places.

Boss Steve Cooper has made just one change to his starting XI, with Grabban replacing Philip Zinckernagel.

January signings Steve Cook and Keinan Davis make their first league appearances for the club, having made their debuts against Arsenal.

Fellow new arrival Richie Laryea is not included in the matchday squad.
