Kia Joorabchian told Arsenal what transfers to make and now he could help Raul Sanllehi do it

Kia Joorabchian could play a leading role in Arsenal's transfer business this summer, with one of his clients closely linked with a move to the Emirates.

Plans are reportedly underway for Arsenal to begin talks over a loan move for Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho, with the playmaker's future at the Nou Camp looking uncertain.

Coutinho is currently on loan at Bayern Munich until the end of the season, but the Bundesliga champions are set to reject the chance to sign the former Liverpool star on a permanent basis.

This has seen the 27-year-old linked with a return to the Premier League, with Newcastle, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal all touted as potential destinations.

Joorabchian represents Coutinho among a host of other players, including Arsenal's David Luiz and on-loan defender Cedric Soares.

And speaking last summer, the agent and lifelong Arsenal supporter urged Gunners owner Stan Kroenke to provide financial backing in the transfer window, naming the positions which the north Londoners had to strengthen.

“If you don’t make the finances available, there is no big secret," he told talkSPORT last summer.

"If you cannot buy some strong players… they have to reinforce in defence, they have to reinforce in midfield and they have to reinforce out wide.

“Arsenal have a great advantage that they already have what many clubs are looking for – two world class strikers in Aubameyang and Lacazette. The problem is they have to rebuild everywhere else as the rest of the team is lacking.

“So unless the finances are made available it puts a lot of pressure on the guys they have hired to be able to deliver what they’ve been brought in to deliver.”

The Gunners eventually signed Nicolas Pepe, William Saliba and Dani Ceballos on loan from Real Madrid, but with the Spanish midfielder set to return to the Bernabeu, this leaves a vacancy which has to be filled.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's future is also uncertain, which could see Arsenal having to sign an attacking player in the window.

Joorabchian may be the man to help Arsenal follow his own advice, with Coutinho able to fill a number of roles for Arsenal.
