Kia Joorabchian - the agent of Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho - has refused to rule out the prospect of the Brazilian international returning to the Premier League as speculation continues to mount surrounding his future.
The former Liverpool star, who made the switch to the Nou Camp back in January 2018 for a fee north of £140million, has spent this season out on loan at Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, which has offered him the chance to try and get his career back on track after a disappointing first full season in La Liga.
To some extent, Coutinho, who turns 28 next month, has rediscovered some of the form he was showcasing during his time at Anfield, scoring nine goals and claiming eight assists in 32 appearances in all competitions for Bayern this term.
However, the Bundesliga table-toppers, who face Borussia Dortmund in a crunch top-of-the-table clash on Tuesday, are not set to activate the option to sign the former Inter Milan midfielder on a permanent basis.
In recent weeks, Coutinho has been heavily linked with a return to the Premier League, with Chelsea showing a strong interest in signing him.
Now, though, Arsenal have entered the race to land the attacking-midfielder's signature, according to reports in France, with it being claimed that Arsenal are locked in talks with Coutinho's agent about concluding a deal ahead of the next transfer window opening for business.
Last month, Joorabchian addressed the midfielder's future, confirming that he would "probably love" to one day return to England and test himself in the Premier League for a second time.
"The fact I'm an Arsenal supporter is not a secret," Joorabchian told Sky Sports back in April.
"I don't have any preference where the players go. I don't try to push someone to one club or another. Everything is a possibility. After the Champions League game he played in England we had a long chat about it.
"The Premier League is something that he has always enjoyed playing in, and loved playing in, and would probably love to come back and play in.
"The question is what are going to be the financial conditions of all the clubs, including Barcelona and all the Premier League clubs at the end of this pandemic."
Coutinho, of course, cemented himself as a household name in the Premier League during his Liverpool career, scoring 41 goals and racking up 37 appearances in 152 Premier League matches.
Prior to his move to Barcelona at the midway stage of the 2017/18 season, the skilful midfielder had scored seven times and registered six assists in just 14 Premier League outings.
