Khloé Kardashian has questioned the ongoing investigation of Nancy Guthrie’s “heartbreaking” disappearance, four months after police believe she was abducted.
The 84-year-old mother of Today anchor Savannah Guthrie disappeared from her Arizona home on the morning of February 1, prompting a nationwide search for the missing woman. No suspect has been identified, and there is still no evidence to indicate whether Nancy is alive.
Kardashian, 41, addressed Nancy’s disappearance on Wednesday’s episode of her podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land, while speaking to Crime Junkie podcast host Ashley Flowers.
“I mean, is that not heartbreaking?” the reality star said of the case. “This is 2026. There is nothing? That is mind-blowing.”
“I can’t even believe that. But I’m also very conspiratorial,” Flowers responded, to which Kardashian replied: “Me too.”
The Good American founder went on to reference the ransom notes sent to media outlets at the start of the investigation. “How weird was that?” she continued. “It’s so much, and I just can’t understand that in 2026… There’s not one piece of information. They’re not telling us.
“I don’t know if I know enough about this case, but like all the things I was reading about the brother-in-law and that kind of stuff, I’m like, oof,” she added.
Early in the investigation, journalist Ashleigh Banfield suggested that Savannah’s brother-in-law, Tommaso Cioni, could have been involved in the disappearance of Nancy. However, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department later cleared him as a suspect.
The Independent has contacted the Pima County Sheriff’s Department and a representative for Savannah Guthrie for comment.
Nancy was last seen outside of her home on the night of January 31. After she was reported missing, video surveillance footage showed a masked person at her house on the night of her disappearance.
Drops of her blood were found at her home, as well as her phone and the heart medication she needs to take daily. Investigators believe Nancy was taken from her house in the middle of the night.
Savannah and her siblings have offered up a $1 million reward to anyone offering information leading to the recovery of their mother.
On Saturday, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, who has been leading the investigation, was asked if authorities have gotten closer to solving the suspected abduction of Nancy.
Nanos replied, “We are,” without elaborating. In a statement to The Independent, the Pima County Sheriff’s Office said: “As we reach the 100-day mark in this investigation, scientific evidence processing and digital media analysis remain ongoing.”
“We remain committed to conducting a thorough and comprehensive investigation and appreciate the public’s continued patience and cooperation.”
On Mother’s Day earlier this week, Savannah shared a heartfelt montage of videos and photos with Nancy on Instagram. “Mother, daughter, sister, Nonie — we miss you with every breath. We will never stop looking for you. We will not be at peace until we find you,” she wrote in the caption.
She added: “We need help. Someone knows something that can make the difference. Call 1800CALLFBI. You can be anonymous and the reward remains available. Please keep praying. Bring her home.”
