Khloe Kardashian's relationship with Caitlyn Jenner turned sour after her transition and the subsequent publication of her memoir.
Caitlyn, 70, has claimed on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! that she has not "really" spoken to Khloe for six years.
A source has told People that the 35-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star had actually seen Caitlyn "many times" over those years but chooses not to actively engage with her.
Despite not talking, Khloe reportedly doesn't bear a grudge but it will take a bit to repair their fractured relationship.
The source said: "Khloé was really hurt by Caitlyn, and their relationship definitely change.
“She isn’t the type to hold grudges. But their relationship isn’t the same as it once was.”
Caitlyn has claimed that her relationship with Khloe has been strained since 2015, when she publicly came out as transgender and a subsequent memoir deepened the rift.
The 2017 telling of her story led to the Kardashian sisters - Khloe, Kim and Kourtney - not speaking to Caitlyn for a while over claims she had made about their mother Kris Jenner.
Caitlyn had said that Kris knew about her gender identity struggle but tried to shut it down.
She said that Kris also knew about her experimenting with cross-dressing, which Kris has vehemently denied, saying that the memoir was "full of lies".
Khloe was reportedly rankled by a feeling that "business people" knew about Caitlyn's transition before the Kardashians did and she was upset that she had 'lost the man that had raised her'.
Speaking in a 2017 episode of their reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Khloe said: "Not having you in my life, it’s a huge blow because I’m like okay, my second dad, this guy that I’ve grown up with, that raised me, was taken away from me.
“No one really let me have that.”
Caitlyn has admitted that Khloe was the only one of her children and stepchildren that had issues with her transition.
Speaking about it on I'm A Celebrity, she said: "The only one that was really — and I still, even to today, can’t quite figure it out — was Khloe.
"Khloé for some reason was p***ed off about something through this whole process. Honestly, it’s been five, six years and I really haven’t talked to her since. … I don’t know what it is, and that’s all I can say.”
Caitlyn added: “And Khloé and I were really close. I raised Khloé since she was five years old. I don’t know what her issues are, I really don’t know.”
