A 37-year-old man who killed his former girlfriend by repeatedly slamming her head into concrete in Sydney's west has been sentenced to 18 years in jail.
Khanh Ly pleaded guilty to killing 27-year-old Miming Listiyani at Cabarita in April 2016.
The pair had met up at a local pub for a drink and to exchange personal belongings following the break-up.
Justice Jane Mathews said Ly was severely affected by post-traumatic stress disorder after an earlier stint in prison and was extremely intoxicated on the night he attacked Ms Listiyani.
