Khamzat Chimaev says he would ‘smash’ Logan and Jake Paul in one night – boxing

At this point, it’s no surprise when a big-name UFC star – or any UFC fighter for that matter – calls out Jake Paul and Logan Paul, and now you can add Khamzat Chimaev to the list.

Still fresh off a UFC 267 win 10 days ago, Chimaev made it clear Tuesday in a tweet that he believes he would not only handle, but “smash” the Paul brothers on the same night, and he wasn’t talking about mixed martial arts. He was talking about boxing.

I can smash this guys same night
BOXING 👊🏼

Chimaev also said the Paul brothers know this to be true based on a prior training session as he tweeted a picture of him and Logan with other fighters in a gym. It’s unclear when and where Chimaev might’ve trained with Logan.

and they know about it!

Chimaev, 27, remains undefeated in MMA at 10-0, which includes his first four UFC fights. He came off a 13-month layoff following a bout with COVID-19 to choke out Li Jingliang on Oct. 30 at UFC 267 in Abu Dhabi. Chimaev, a standout wrestler and grappler, isn’t known for his boxing skills, but he has six knockouts on his MMA resume, which includes two in the UFC.

Fights with either of the Paul brothers seemingly would be off the table for Chimaev since UFC president Dana White has stated in the past that he has no desire to work with them. He’s especially made that clear about Jake Paul, with whom he’s publicly feuded.

Jake Paul, 24, has defeated former MMA champions Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley in the boxing ring en route to starting his career 4-0. The YouTube star has an upcoming Dec. 18 bout scheduled with Tommy Fury, the younger half-brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. Tommy, 22, is 7-0.

Logan Paul, 26, has two boxing matches under his belt, most recently a June exhibition with Floyd Mayweather that lasted all eight rounds.
