Khalil Mack wants more action, less talk as losses continue to mount for Bears

For all the talk surrounding the Chicago Bears this past week about rebounding after a dismal outing against the New Orleans Saints, the Bears failed to answer the call Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers.

While Matt Nagy made good on his promise to run the ball more than seven times, he failed in other areas, particularly as play caller in the redzone, as well as his controversial decision to not try to get closer for Eddy Pineiro’s missed 41-yard field goal as time expired.

The Bears have lost three straight games and now sit at 3-4 in last place in the NFC North, and their season is in question. Now, the attention shifts to how the Bears will respond after another bout of adversity.

For Bears outside linebacker Khalil Mack, he’s not into verbal promises. He’d rather his team prove it on the football field.

“There’s a whole bunch of talking we could do,” Khalil Mack said. “I’m an action guy. That’s why I don’t really like talking to y’all… looking forward to these guys showing how we respond.”

Chicago will have plenty to prove heading into Week 9, where they’ll face the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles aren’t the team they were last season, but they’ll prove to be a challenge for a Bears team that continues to stumble through this season.

Now, how the Bears respond? Sure, they’ll say that they’ll learn from it. They’ll say that all hope isn’t lost. They’ll say they’ll come back better from it.

Well, like Mack said, we don’t want to hear about it. We want to see it come Sunday.
