Khalil Mack doesn’t have revenge on his mind vs. Eagles, just winning

As the Chicago Bears prepare to face the Philadelphia Eagles, there’s a revenge factor in Sunday’s game following last season’s Wild Card Playoff game where the Eagles defeated the Bears 16-15.

But for Bears outside linebacker Khalil Mack the only thing that matters is winning this game, revenge factor or not.

“If you look at the situation in itself, you’ve got to understand that a win is going to be huge on Sunday,” Mack said, via the Chicago Tribune. “It’s going to be one of those games where you’ve got to get it by any means.

“When you think about the game of football, you only have fun when you’re winning. That’s the whole point. We want to get back to having fun, and that starts with making plays and getting stops early and getting turnovers defensively.”

The Bears have lost three straight games following what should’ve been a statement-making victory over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4. Now, Chicago just needs a win. At any cost.

Club Dub has been closed for over a month, and Bears players aren’t having fun. That much is obvious. The only way to start having fun again? Start winning.

That won’t be an easy task against the Eagles, who the Bears have lost four straight games.  Chicago is going to need their offense to continue to run the ball and convert in the redzone. They need their defense to get after the Eagles. And they have to do all of this on the road.
