Prince Khalid bin Salman, Saudi Deputy Defense Minister, stressed on Monday that the fraternal relationship between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates is the foundation of security and stability in the region.
This relationship confronts agendas that seek to spread extremism, chaos, strife and division in the region, he stated in a series of tweets.
“We are working together with our brothers in the UAE to achieve security and stability in Aden, Shabwa and Abyan,” he said in reference to the Yemeni provinces.
“We will continue to work with members of the Arab coalition to unite ranks to confront the terrorist threat posed by the Iran-backed Houthi militias, al-Qaeda and ISIS alike,” he stressed.
“We will continue to offer support to the Yemeni people until security and stability prevail throughout Yemen,” Prince Khalid vowed.
Internal dialogue, not fighting, is the only way to resolve inter-Yemeni differences, he remarked.
“There are vast differences between those who quarrel over the interests of their nation and providing the people with a dignified life and those who fight the Yemenis in favor of the Wilayet al-Faqih and the Iranian terrorist regime’s agenda in the region,” he declared.
