Khabib Nurmagomedov’s long-term manager Ali Abdelaziz says that MMA star Conor McGregor deserves a financial penalty to the tune of $1million following his behaviour at his recent defeat to Dustin Poirier.
Abdelaziz hit out at McGregor after the well-documented war of words that the Crumlin native aimed at Poirier’s family last week.
The 32-year-old suffered a horrific leg injury during the first round of his recent bout against Poirier at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in the early hours on Sunday morning.
However, despite needing surgery, it failed to deter McGregor as he continued to threaten Poirier and his family with a badly broken ankle.
Abdelaziz says that UFC chief Dana White also has something to answer for and says there should be clear guidelines within the sport to stop similar events happening in the future.
“If I was Dana White, I would fine this guy $1 million,” Abdelaziz said during a recent interview.
“Dana should have guidelines. I know Dana said, ‘We say mean things to each other.’
“Can you imagine if somebody [said that] about Dana’s wife? I know Dana doesn’t give a shit, but in reality, [McGregor] is just completely wrong because this footage is for life. It’s for life.

“In reality, man, him and his entire people, they are just bad people, man. All of them. And they’re delusional,” he added.
There is certainly no love lost between the McGregor and Nurmagomedov as the pair have had vicious battles in the octagon on a couple of occasions.
Abdelaziz says that McGregor is no longer the attractive opponent he once was due to his recent record and hints that ‘The Notorious’ should consider his future.
“I don’t really care about him. He’s easy money. I hope he’s healthy,” Abdelaziz explains.
“He can come back to fight [Justin] Gaethje, Islam [Makhachev] or Beneil [Dariush]. He’s an easy payday for everybody.
“He’s become, like I said, he’s a prostitute. Guys use him right now for hype. That’s it. Because he’s easy money.
“He can’t beat anybody in the top 10 or the top 15. He cannot compete with these guys anymore.”
McGregor is believed to be heading on holiday to Italy as he steps up his recovery from surgery on his leg.
