'KGF' actor Anant Nag feels Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone's 'Besharam Rang' song from 'Pathaan' has 'nudity content'

Kannada actor Anant Nag of 'KGF: Chapter One' fame became the recent celebrity to join the bandwagon of actors sharing their opinion on the ongoing Besharam Rang row.

In an interview with a news portal Anant said that the song had nudity content, although the outfit Deepika was wearing was the basis of the controversy. Sharing his take on the entire controversy, the actor added that it isn't the proper way to depict women.

Elaborating further, he added that showing women in such a way is not part of our Indian culture. According to him, if the censor team had done their job, this wouldn’t have happened in the first place. The actor also added that content on OTT has all sorts of nasty and offensive stuff. Everything is openly shown and no one is there to stop them, the veteran actor told Asianet.

After the song was unveiled, a few groups had raised an objection to the song and especially the colour of Deepika's saffron bikini in it. According to reports, the close up shots of Deepika's buttocks, 'side pose (partial nudity)' shots and visuals of sensuous dance movements during the lyrics 'Bahut tang kiya' have been censored and replaced with 'suitable shots' by the CBFC. However, it is not confirmed if Deepika Padukone’s controversial orange swimsuit has been censored or not.

'Pathaan' stars Shah Rukh, Deepika and John Abraham in lead roles. It is slated to hit the theatres on January 25, 2023.
