KFC wants to open 11 new restaurants in Merseyside

Fast food giant KFC has revealed it wants to open 11 new restaurants and drive-thrus in Merseyside.

The fried chicken chain has listed hundreds of places on its website where it wants to open new sites - with plans for more full-size restaurants and drive-thrus, reports the Mirror.

Among the locations are Kirkby , Formby and Crosby, as well as Liverpool city centre, which would join a number of KFC restaurants in the area.

However, this is just a wish list of locations where KFC wants to expand, so there is no guarantee that restaurants will definitely pop up in each new site.

On the KFC website, the fast food giant says: “We’re on the lookout for over 500 sites.”

It then invites developers to get in touch if they have a space that could be of interest, and says the company will pay £20,000 “for all recognised introductions”.

The full list of target areas in Merseyside:

  • Belle Vale

  • Crosby

  • Formby

  • Kirkby

  • Liverpool city centre

  • Tuebrook

  • Prescot

  • Smithdown

  • Southport

  • St Helens North

  • Wallasey
