KFC staff threatened by masked robber armed with eight-inch kitchen knife

Police are investigating after a fried chicken restaurant was raided by a masked thug armed with an eight-inch kitchen knife.

Officers were called to KFC in Deane, Bolton, last month to reports of an armed robbery.

A man went into the Derby Street branch wielding a blade.

His hood was up and his face covered with a black scarf.

The robber threatened staff and demanded cash before escaping with the money in a blue Ford Fiesta Titanium that had been waiting outside for him, driven by another man.

GMP have now released CCTV images from the robbery, which happened at 11.20pm on May 16.

The man who entered the shop is described as over 6ft tall, olive coloured skin with hazel eyes, medium build and in his 30’s.

He had a tattoo on his right lower arm and was carrying a green coloured hold-all with a brown strap.

The man in the car was white and had light coloured hair.

Anyone who recognises the men or has any information about the robbery is asked to call police on 0161 856 5757 quoting incident number 2634 of May 16.
