KFC planning to open new restaurants in seven Scottish locations - full list

By Jamie Lopez & Rachel Williams

Scotland could be home to several more KFC restaurants in the next few years.

The American fast-food chain has announced it is planning to expand their business across the whole of the UK and Ireland, reports Chronicle Live.

The fried chicken giant has listed hundreds of towns and cities across the entire country that are targets for them to open up either new drive thru's or food courts.

Out of all the locations listed, there are seven locations throughout Scotland which have been named as 'live targets' for new branches.

Most of the proposed new branches look to be drive thru's, which the fast-food chain has said is one of their 'most popular assets.'

Proposed drive thru locations being targeted are Aberdeen South, Aberdeen West, Airdrie East/South, Bathgate, Edinburgh Fountain Park and Falkirk North.

High street stores are being considered for areas that currently cannot accommodate a drive-thru.

The fast-food chain is currently only looking to open up one new high street store in the country and they are currently targeting Edinburgh Royal Mile.
